MY PRACTICAL TRAINING AT NAZA MOTOR TRADING

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

As a part of academic requirement and completion of Diploma program, I have been assigned to complete internship report on “Recruitment and Selection process of Naza Motor Trading Sdn Bhd.” under the guidance of Ms. Aida Suraya.“Recruitment and Selection process” is a segment of human resource process. I have tried my best to go through their Recruitment and Selection process within little tenure of 2 months.The report starts with a general introduction “Naza Motor Trading” As well as its purpose,scope and limitation. Then this report proceeds onto the preliminary talk about “Naza Motor Trading.” Naza Motor Tading is one of the most company in the automobile sector in Malaysia. First, I have already given a notes by my supervisor as a reference about recruitment process flow in manpower planning unit at Naza Motor Trading (Corporate Human Capital Division Department). My supervisor explained very clearly to me about that process because that process very important in recruitment.
In recruitment process flow, managerial level in other company at Naza Motor Trading must sent to CHCD (Corporate Human Capital Division) a complete of employee requisition control number such as employee requisition form, must attached current and updated organization chart and also must attached job description.
Then, CHCD shorlisted candidates, interview session. After that, the managerial above selected candidate profile summary. CHCD also must do a proposal salary remuneration package. Then , CHCD hired via call candidate and prepared letter of appointment. After complete that process, CHCD must give a copy to Payroll unit. Lastly, CHCD open a personal file for the new employee based on the job grade.


DESCRIPTION OF THE COMPANY

Background of the company (Naza Motor Trading)
Naza Group of Companiew, Malaysia’s largest and prestigious importer of luxury automobiles was originally founded in 1975. As the main importer and distributor of automotive brands such as Ferrari, Peugoet and Brabus but to name a few, Naza has all but grown into one of today’s leading conglomeratesin in Malaysia. Latching on the succes of its automobile business, it has since diversified into a variety of prominent industries which includes property development, motorbikes,hospitality, food & beverages, finance & insurance, manufacturing, research & creative solutions, transportation & logistics and agriculture. Our ambitions are still high as we are now ready to set our sights on building a global presence. Leveraging on our diversity, we continue to push the boundaries of our success by upping the mastering the standards of excellence in each of our businesses in the respective industries. INTERNSHIP EXPERIENCE

During internship period, I got many experience from my practical training at Naza Motor Trading. I am a very lucky person because I have chosen for do internship at the biggest company.
I am very enjoy when doing this training because I have learnt and got experience in the real world in this industry. First when I met all of the my collegues in my office, I can felt that a peace environment in the office.
Other than that, my supervisor ask me to be more confident when I communicate with surrounding. Besides, I can tie the relationship between others. I also can learn the new thing every day from them in this company.
Other than that, I learnt how to handle candidates when their come for the interview session. Many situation when I handled because the candidates have a different attitude.
Besides that, my supervisor also teach me how to use the mail merged. She also give me a job to draft a question for second interview based on my creativity.
I joined all the meeting in recruitment . From that, I learn how their discuss and settle all the problem in recruitment with professionalism. Besides that, I learn how to sourcing candidates via Monster.com.


CONTRIBUTION TO COMPANY

My contribution to the my company as a recruitment team, I sourcing the candidates via Monster. Then, i should email all the candidates’s resume to the my supervisor for selected the suitable candidates.
After that, my supervisor will pass to me the resume of candidates which are suitable that position to invite for interview. Besides that, I make a call for invite and set date and time for interview. After make the call, I should also email them the appointment of interview for candidates.
When candidates come for the interview, i also handle them. I should give them a form to filled up all the information before interview session. After give them a short time to filled up the form, I should pass all the form and resume also inform to my supervisor that the candidates have already for interniew in the interview room.
At the sometime, my supervisor ask me to join that interview and I also should prepare some question for candidates at the last interview session.
After interview, in 2 weeks , the candidates can get the result whether they suitable or not for that position. Sometime, the candidates must attend for the second interview.
My contribution also in this company is prepare the letter of appointment. Then, my responsibility also filing all the document. Other than that, i also must opened the file for the new employees based on the job grade.
My supervisor also give me a responsibility to prepare the letter of transfer and redesignation of staff for 83 employees.


ASSESSMENT OF INTERNSHIP

The first skill I gained when I joined that company is a Communication skills. Every time my supervisor ask me to be more confident in communicate and try to always speaking when communicate with others. For example when I make a call to set interview appointment with candidates.

 I also learn how to work well with others because in recruitment team, teamwork is a very important thing when during any work. From that I learn teamwork skills based on my friends in this team.

Other than that, initiative in work is very important because we already know that our supervisor too busy with their work. So, when she give a work, I should find my initiative to complete that work. For example, my supervisor ask me to draft a question to candidate for second interview. I should draft the question based on my creativity and show her whether it is suitable or not.

As a Hr person, we know that we should relates well to others. So, I should use the interpersonal skill very well.

Other than that, during my practical training. I also learn many things and improve my computer skills. For example, my supervisor teach me how to do a mail merged.
Besides that, friendly with others is very important because as a hr. We should friendly with everyone we met.

CHAPTER 7 : REALITY OF INTERNSHIP

The reality of internship, I can learn the new things with the real estate which are I should have manage my time and punctuality on my work because that time is very important when we work. If we arrive and late come to punch early morning, our salary will be deduct just because we late on work just two or three minutes.
Other than that, in reality. As a Hr person,all the information and work which are I do, I should keep in private and confidential because the detail informations all the employees only HR department keep that data. So, it is always must keep in private and confidential.
After that, when I joined that meeting in recruitment team, I can learn how their settle it the problem professionally.
When I joined the interview session, I can see many characteristics of the candidates who are come for the interview. For example, when the interviewer ask them for some questions, they answered with confidently and some of them choose to prefer only a smile and don’t answer that question because they don’t have confident level to answer it.
In reality also, i am very happy when i get the allowances because it is the first time I got my income from my work.
Besides that, as a Hr person, I must very carefully when I doing to keep in data of employees, open the personal files or prepare the letter because every single word that I type must follow the right detail. For example, their name, number of employees and etc.



CHAPTER 8 : CONCLUTION

The conclusion is practical training is very important to the student like me to learn the new things in the real world of work because from that, I can got many experiences during my internship with my company.
I also very proud because I can do my practical training in the one of the  biggest company in Malaysia like Naza Motor Trading Sdn Bhd. When I do the practical, I can imagine how work will I do after I finished my study in the future, From that, I learn and take many knowledge and also gained many skills from my supervisor.
Other than that, in Hr, I must high confident level in myself because as a hr person, we should relates well others. My supervisor also give me a spirit everytime because she wants me be more confident when communicate with others in speaking.
At Naza, I also learn about how they work in the good team. They do the work like they are family. Help each others and caring.
The experience and knowledge that I gained at Naza Motor Trading when I do my practical training never I forgot and got from other place.
